For Employers & HR Teams
Relocation support that helps your people focus on work
When an employee's first weeks in Cairo are spent navigating practical logistics rather than settling in, it affects their performance and their family's confidence in the posting. We address that.
What organisations face when posting staff to Cairo
Cairo is an important location for many international organisations, from energy companies and engineering firms to diplomatic missions, NGOs, and multinational corporations. Staff assignments here are common and often critical to operations in the wider region.
The challenge HR and mobility teams consistently encounter is the gap between arrival and productive settlement. Without on-the-ground support, employees spend significant time and mental energy on logistics — housing, schooling, banking, connectivity — that falls outside anyone's job description and outside any existing HR process.
Industry research into global mobility consistently identifies the first 60 days as the period most likely to determine whether an assignment succeeds or is curtailed early. Practical settlement support directly addresses this risk window.
What We Provide
A structured process for every arrival
Pre-arrival briefing
Before the employee lands, we prepare a tailored briefing document covering neighbourhood options relative to their workplace, school options for their children's ages and curricula, and a list of documentation to bring for banking and SIM registration.
Apartment search and lease
We conduct the initial search within the budget and area parameters set by the employee or employer. We shortlist, arrange viewings, and accompany the employee throughout. Lease review assistance is included, though we are not legal advisors.
Connectivity and utilities
SIM card activation, broadband installation, and utility registration handled within the first week. We coordinate appointments and attend each one in person with the employee.
School placement research
For employees arriving with children, we prepare a school shortlist with curriculum, location, fee range, and current availability. We do not make admissions decisions or negotiate placements, but we give families the information needed to proceed confidently.
Banking support
We research current documentation requirements for the employee's specific situation and accompany them to the bank appointment. English-speaking bank branches in Cairo are available and we coordinate with those where possible.
Neighbourhood orientation
A structured tour of the employee's area, covering essential services, transport options, and daily life geography. Conducted on foot and by car, tailored to the family's composition and interests.
How It Works
From initial contact to settled employee
HR contacts us with employee details
The mobility or HR team provides us with the employee's arrival date, workplace location, family composition, and budget parameters. We do not need more than this to begin planning.
We prepare and send a pre-arrival brief
Before the employee lands, they receive a document tailored to their situation — neighbourhood options, school shortlist, documentation checklist, and a timeline for the first two weeks.
Arrival support begins immediately
From the first or second day, we begin apartment viewings, connectivity setup, and orientation. The employee does not navigate any process alone. The pace is set by their availability and the employer's timelines.
Settlement confirmed, process closed
Once housing is confirmed, utilities are active, banking is in order, and the family has completed their orientation, we provide a brief summary to HR confirming what has been completed. The employee now has our contact details for any follow-up questions in the first months.
